Google Earth takes you to walk on lunar surface

To celebrate the 40th anniversary moon landing of Apollo 11, Google launched the Moon in Google Earth, will allow users to explore images of the moon, as well as understanding of relevant knowledge.

The world’s first woman astronaut Anousheh Ansari’s Google blog said that, Google’s service will help many people to have better understanding of the moon.

“Moon in Google Earth allows you to further explore the moon, have better understanding of the Apollo moon landing program, and also see the images of moon surface taken by astronauts.”

Anousheh Ansari said: “I believe that this is an important educational tool, it can inspire young people to dare to dream and create. “

4 years ago at this time, Google launched Google Moon, users can use Web-based services of Google Maps to explore moon, rather than the use of Google Earth (a desktop client applications).

In addition to the moon, Google Earth now also offers Mars and Sky Tour adventure.
