6 tips to make your hair extensions last longer

If you invest in hair extensions, you probably want to keep them looking good as long as possible. Whether your extensions are made from synthetic or real hair, following are 6 easy but essential hair care tips.
1. Shampoo hair properly
Gentle shampoo is best, and it’s important to wash your hair every other day. When washing your hair, first, thoroughly saturate scalp and hair using warm water, and apply shampoo liquid on the hand and rub it till foam then gently put on the hair evenly. Stay away from dandruff shampoos and harsh shampoos that contain sulfates, they can damage the extension bonds.
2. Apply proper hair conditioner
With an appropriate amount of conditioner can make the hair more smooth and avoid tangle. Keep conditioner away from the bond; they can actually loosen the bonds and even slip off.
3. Dry the hair properly
Firstly, Use towel to dry up the hair by coating wet hair with a dry towel and press it gently to absorb water, then blow dry the hair in the same direction of hair line. Keep air temperature constant and don’t use strong blow speed.
4. Brush your hair regularly
If you don’t brush your hair, your natural hairs that you normally lose can get tangled in your extensions, hence brush hair at least twice a day. When brush your hair, you can hold bond with other hand to avoid break it.
5. Keep hair dry
Keep hair wet for long time can lead to bond breakdown and can also increase the changes of tangles and snarls.
6. Bedtime care
Before sleep, brush your hair and tie it loosely to avoid tangling.

Thanks for the article. I found a great place online to buy premium quality extensions. I cannot begin to tell you how many other sites and brands I can used that were very disappointing. The site is Sultryhair.com. Their staff is helpful and patient and best of all their hair extensions are TERRIFIC. They last me 7 months and are soft and tanlge free.
Great guide. Above said care is applicable for natural hair as well.
